There are nearly infinite backdrops to propose to your significant other. If you happen to be a professional cyclist, why not pop the question on a bike ride?

That’s exactly what Belgian national champion Justine Ghekiere thought. But this was no ordinary ride.

No, the current Belgian national champion and 2024 Tour de France Femmes stage winner took her girlfriend Charlotte Overbergh to none other than Mont Ventoux, one of the most revered locations in professional cycling. Pretty fitting for a Tour de France Queen of the Mountains jersey winner. For a couple that rides bikes, that background is hard to beat.

And most importantly, she said yes. Or more specifically, her “favorite yes ever.”
