Annabel Simson and Logan Rees have served Fife AC with distinction for well nigh two decades now.
They are familiar figures around the endurance scene in Scotland and no strangers to podiums across arrange of disciplines from hill running to road running.
Annabel and Logan duly added to their burgeoning medal collections at Glasgow Green as the Babcock Glasgow 10k played host to our Lindsays Scottish 10k Champs.
Logan actually finished second to race winner Omar Ahmed who successfully defended his Babcock Glasgow 10k title and took home the Lachie Stewart Trophy for his event victory.
Ahmed won in 29:22 with Rees on 29:23. Taking third in the race and silver in the Lindsays Scottish Champs was Aberdeen AAC athlete, Max Abernethy, after a PB performance at 29:27. Bronze medallist was Jamie Burns of host club Shettleston, who won this event at Roon the Toon last year.
Abernethy led home Aberdeen AAC to the men’s team golds. Sean Chalmers in fifth and Aaron Odentz supported that great run from Max.
Central AC took the team silvers with Shettleston in third.

The Women’s race was a good battle between the top three and they were still pretty much together at the halfway stage.
Simpson duly carved out enough of an advantage to take gold in 33:38.
Our 5k champion from Silverknowes, Stefanie Tucker was the silver medallist here as the Cambuslang Harrier improved her PB to 33:42.
Third place went to Kirsty Walker with the Edinburgh Ac athlete home in 33:55 to ensure the top three women were covered by only 17 seconds.
Host club Shettleston gathered the team golds thanks to the runs of Claire Stewart, Kate Paul and Skye Rae. Garscube took home silver medals with third for Inverclyde AC.
Big thank you to athletes for competing with record entry numbers at around 730.
Thanks to all our volunteers on the day, event organisers Babcock Glasgow 10k, Shettleston Harriers and all our own Officials from the Road Running and Cross Country Commission.
