Exposure Lights launches Revo 5 hybrid dynamo light with two riding modes

British LED lighting manufacturer Exposure Lights has launched the Revo 5 dynamo light, featuring multiple features and two programmable settings that allow riders to prioritise either maximum output or long-distance efficiency.

Delivering up to 2,000 lumens, the Revo 5 is claimed to be the brightest dynamo light on the market. Incorporating a 1,600mAh Li-ion battery, the Revo 5 functions as a hybrid system, allowing riders to pre-charge the light for maximum output.

The product features two operating programmes. Infinite Runtime Mode is tailored for long-distance bikepacking and uses only the available power from the dynamo. Output varies with riding speed, but the mode allows simultaneous lighting and charging of devices such as phones, power banks and GPS units, without requiring switches or junction boxes.

Fixed Output Mode is designed for shorter rides where maximum brightness is required. In this setting, the internal battery delivers a consistent output while the dynamo recharges the battery during riding. The faster the ride, the longer the runtime. Riders can also charge the light from an external source such as a power bank.

Both programmes include High, Low and DayBright pulse modes, selectable via a single function button.

Manufactured in the UK from 6063 hard-anodised aluminium, the Revo 5 is rated to IP68 standards for waterproofing and IK09 for impact resistance. It operates in temperatures from -20°C to +40°C and features a precision 12° spot beam with a throw of more than 50m.

Additional features include a traffic light-style LED indicator that provides battery status and mode selection feedback. The indicator also flashes when dynamo input is detected while the light is switched off, showing both power input and battery percentage.

The Revo 5 includes two USB-C ports: one dedicated to powering the Exposure RedEye 3 rear light, and another that can either supply or receive power depending on the selected programme.
