Matt Lloyd, currently the general manager of the Minnesota Timberwolves, is reportedly emerging as the frontrunner to take over as head of basketball operations for the Chicago Bulls, according to Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times.
A decision could come soon, with Lloyd potentially being selected for the position within the next few days.
Lloyd has prior history with Chicago, and current team advisor John Paxson is said to be a strong advocate for him.
Cowley also notes that if Lloyd ultimately lands the role, he is expected to bring in Micah Nori as the team’s next head coach.
Other candidates still being considered include Bryson Graham of the Atlanta Hawks, Dennis Lindsey of the Detroit Pistons, and Dave Lewin, assistant GM for the Boston Celtics.
