Young Scottish athletes relished the TCS London Mini Marathon experience over the weekend.

The event now takes place on Saturday and 25 Scots were involved after making the journey south on Friday and travelling back north after the races.

Scotland were represented at U18 and U16 level with Niamh Currie in a wheelchair race.

In fact, Niamh finished in a fine second place in that race to follow up her performance in the Mini Marathon last year.

Alistair Street claimed a brilliant podium place in the Men’s U18 race. The Kilbarchan AAC athlete, who won our U17 title at the Lindsays Young Athletes Road Races, took third place against the best of Birtish.

Well done to all our young athletes who raced in London.

*We plan to update some more place information in due course

*Huge thank you to our team managers who assisted the young athletes in London.
