Denver Nuggets wing Michael Porter Jr. has been downgraded to out for Saturday night\u2019s home game against the Utah Jazz. Porter Jr. needs more time to rest his heel. He has missed the last eight games.<\/p>\n

Other players listed on Denver\u2019s injury report include Jeff Green (right knee contusion) and Jamal Murray (left knee contusion). Both players are probable versus Utah. Of course, Collin Gillespie (leg) remains out indefinitely.<\/p>\n

Per multiple NBA betting sites<\/a>, the Nuggets have the sixth-best odds to win the NBA championship in 2023. A few sportsbooks are showing higher odds for the Los Angeles Clippers and Phoenix Suns.<\/p>\n

Through 16 starts this season, Porter Jr. is averaging 16.4 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 1.3 assists. Also, the forward is shooting 46.6% from the floor and 42.7% from 3-point range.<\/p>\n

On Nov. 13, in the Nuggets\u2019 126-103 win over the Chicago Bulls, the wing scored a season-high 31 points in 25 minutes of action. He finished 11-of-16 (68.8%) shooting from the field and 6-of-9 (66.7%) beyond the arc.<\/p>\n

In Denver\u2019s 121-120 road win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday, Murray knocked down the game-winning 3-pointer with only seconds remaining in the fourth quarter.<\/p>\n

Nikola Jokic led the Nuggets in scoring with 33 points in 34 minutes played. Murray closed out his outing with 21 points, five rebounds, and eight assists in 35 minutes.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a play for [Nikola Jokic] to get space and let him work,\u201d Murray said of his clutch shot. \u201cHe fumbled it a little and he told me to come get it. I turned and looked at the clock, saw that I didn\u2019t have to rush, and I just went into my move.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for the Jazz\u2019s injury report, three players missed Friday night\u2019s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves: Lauri Markkanen (illness), Johnny Juzang (wrist), and Simone Fontecchio (ankle).<\/p>\n
