{"id":3633,"date":"2023-02-03T01:55:33","date_gmt":"2023-02-03T01:55:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/basketball.runfyers.com\/index.php\/2023\/02\/03\/lavar-ball-gives-long-awaited-update-on-lonzos-future\/"},"modified":"2023-02-03T01:55:33","modified_gmt":"2023-02-03T01:55:33","slug":"lavar-ball-gives-long-awaited-update-on-lonzos-future","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/basketball.runfyers.com\/index.php\/2023\/02\/03\/lavar-ball-gives-long-awaited-update-on-lonzos-future\/","title":{"rendered":"LaVar Ball Gives Long Awaited Update on Lonzo\u2019s Future"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Amidst tons of rumors and <a href=\"https:\/\/basketballforever.com\/2023\/01\/31\/lonzo-balls-bizarre-injury-mystery-is-becoming-a-full-blown-disaster\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">uncertainty<\/a> surrounding Lonzo Ball\u2019s playing future, his Dad has spoken out.<\/p>\n<p>Ball played 35 games as the Bulls\u2019 point guard before suffering a meniscus tear in his left knee over a year ago on January 14 of 2022.<\/p>\n<p>He hasn\u2019t taken the court since and there have been questions around if he will play again this season.<\/p>\n<p>Some are even questioning whether he\u2019ll ever play in the NBA again but his Dad \/ manager LaVar Ball has assured everyone he will be back.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLonzo is gonna be fine,\u201d Ball <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=BJmlZrDenmg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> on Stacey King\u2019s \u201cGimme the Hot Sauce\u201d. \u201cHe\u2019s only 25 years old. He\u2019s gonna get his stuff together and gonna be ready to play and do his thing again. People gotta get off of that: \u2018He\u2019s gotta come back tomorrow or next week or next month. He had some debris in the nerve \u2026 that\u2019s why he couldn\u2019t get nothing done. Debris in the nerve doesn\u2019t allow you to bend or stretch. But all that\u2019s done now. So now it\u2019s about getting your strength back and then getting your endurance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ball mentioned players like Zion Williamson, who missed 44 games for the Pelicans his rookie season before returning the following year, as well as Michael Porter Jnr and his injury struggles.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou\u2019ve got a lot of folks who sit out for a year or two. Look at Michael Porter, the dude for Denver,\u201d Ball said.<\/p>\n<p>LaVar explained to King that they aren\u2019t rushing Lonzo\u2019s return and making sure he is back to a form he is comfortable with.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLike I told him, do everything slow,\u201d Ball said. \u201cDon\u2019t be 70 percent and try to come out there, be 100 percent. So whenever you\u2019re 100 percent come back and be ready to go. It ain\u2019t about sitting out one game, 20 games. Worry about the money and stuff like that? Nah.
