It was his first game he sat out this season.<\/p>\n<p>Now, the four-time MVP plans to play through his injury. On Wednesday morning, the 20-year veteran was also asked about his underwhelming performances this season.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cC\u2019mon man,\u201d replied James. \u201cI\u2019m turning 38 in almost two months, basically two months. And when you know who you are, to be honest, if you really, truly caring about what people say, that doesn\u2019t matter.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Lakers forward LeBron James plans to play against Clippers tonight, despite left foot soreness<\/h2>\n<p>Through nine appearances this season, LeBron is averaging 24.3 points, 8.9 rebounds, 7.1 assists, and 1.6 steals. While logging 36.1 minutes per game, the 18-time All-Star is shooting 44.7% from the field and 21% from 3-point range.<\/p>\n<p>To the untrained eye, the four-time NBA champ\u2019s stats appear decent. However, the forward\u2019s player efficiency rating (PER) and true shooting percentage this season are his lowest recordings since he was a rookie.<\/p>\n<p>James\u2019 true shooting percentage this season is 50.6%. His PER was 18.3. Meanwhile, the forward\u2019s PER this season is currently 19.2.<\/p>\n<p>For more in-depth statistics, James is averaging his fewest drives per game since A.I. software Second Spectrum first began tracking data in 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Based on the available measurements, out of 106 players who\u2019ve attempted to drive the ball down the lane at least 50 times this season, LeBron ranks 90th in points per drive.<\/p>\n<p>The Lakers face off against the Los Angeles Clippers tonight at 10 p.m. ET.
