Alisha Rees<\/strong> enjoyed a fine 2022 \u2013 and she has picked up where she left off for 2023!<\/p>\n The Scottish sprinter, who reached the semi-finals of the Commonwealths and set a new Scottish Record for 100m last year, clocked a fine 7.27 seconds for 60m indoors at Lee Valley yesterday.<\/p>\n That betters Alisha\u2019s own 7.31 Scottish Indoor Record for the distance set last season.<\/p>\n Many congratulations to Alisha, her family and her coach (Ryan Freckleton<\/strong>).<\/em><\/p>\n +++<\/p>\n Amy Kennedy on the podium in Sheffield (photo via England Athletics)<\/strong><\/p>\n England Athletics website<\/a><\/p>\n Amy Kennedy<\/strong> earned a fine bronze medal at the England Athletics Combined Events Champs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n There was a strong Scottish cohort in action in Sheffield with a number of fine performances and PBs both in points tallies and individual events.<\/p>\n Cumbernauld AAC\u2019s Amy took third in the U20 Women\u2019s Heptathlon with 3583.<\/p>\n Maya Stewart<\/strong> was ninth with 3189 in her first U20 pentathlon.<\/p>\n Nikki Manson<\/strong> competed in the Senior Women\u2019s event and finished sixth with 3813.<\/p>\n In the Senior Men\u2019s heptathlon, there was a fifth place finish for Adam Hoole<\/strong> (5336 PB) and sixth for Ewan Bradley<\/strong> (5200 PB). Will Hodi<\/strong> was 10th (5103 PB); Calum Newby<\/strong> was 11th (4983) and Craig Moncur<\/strong> 13th (4678).<\/p>\n Amy\u2019s shot performance of 13.97. was noteworthy while Nikki reached 6.04m in the long jump for a PB.
