She shot 4-6 in three pointers and 7-10 overall. <dfn><a href=\"https:\/\/athletics.whitman.edu\/sports\/womens-basketball\/roster\/carly-martin\/4653\" rel=\"smarttag noopener\" rev=\"4653\" target=\"_blank\">Carly Martin<\/a><\/dfn> and <dfn><a href=\"https:\/\/athletics.whitman.edu\/sports\/womens-basketball\/roster\/elena-mchargue\/4654\" rel=\"smarttag noopener\" rev=\"4654\" target=\"_blank\">Elena McHargue<\/a><\/dfn> both added 11 points with Martin dishing out a game-high seven assists and McHargue adding six rebounds.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"docs-internal-guid-eaf7d862-7fff-7bed-0abd-689cb1fea205\">Tavia Rooney posted team highs of 15 points and six rebounds for Montana Tech.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"docs-internal-guid-eaf7d862-7fff-7bed-0abd-689cb1fea205\">The Blues (1-1) got off to a fast start when Drango nailed a three pointer then connected on a jumper to lead an 8-0 run to begin the game. The Orediggers remained in the hunt and, after back-to-back buckets from Rooney and Liv Wangerin, shaved the deficit to four points.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"docs-internal-guid-eaf7d862-7fff-7bed-0abd-689cb1fea205\">The second quarter saw Whitman push the lead to double digits when Abbott&#8217;s jumper gave her team a 29-19 lead with 5:55 to play. Consecutive baskets by Drango kept the lead at double digits but Montana Tech shaved off a few points and the teams headed to the break at 35-28.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"docs-internal-guid-eaf7d862-7fff-7bed-0abd-689cb1fea205\">Whitman began to pull away in the third quarter. Aubrie Rademacher&#8217;s jumper made it a five-point game but the Blues responded with an 11-2 run and led 51-37 with 4:57 remaining in the quarter.
