Draymond Green has already seen enough from Warriors rookie Yaxel Lendeborg to come away seriously impressed.<\/p>\n
Golden State selected Lendeborg with the 11th overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft after the forward helped Michigan win a national championship.<\/p>\n
Now, after getting his first extended look at the rookie during the Warriors\u2019 mini-camp in San Diego, Green likes what he sees, praising both his confidence and his ability while also warning against putting too much pressure on him before his first NBA season.<\/p>\n
\u201cBy the way, Yaxel\u2019s talked a lot of sh*t. You all know how I felt about Yaxel talking shit\u2026 That kid can play. He is\u2026 really good. Now, I don\u2019t want to put some expectations on him because the NBA game is different, man. You get in that season with them lights on and, you know, guys, it moves fast,\u201d Green said<\/a> on The Draymond Green Show. \u201cLike, you\u2019re trying to\u2026.one guy this Kawhi Leonard tonight, it\u2019s Kevin Durant the next. Like, it\u2019s hard, you know? So, I\u2019m not, I don\u2019t want to put any expectations on him that is unnecessary. But he can play. He understands the game. He\u2019s smart. And this was like, this was really my first time getting eyes on him in person. Consistently shoot the p*ss out of the basketball. I was very, very, very impressed. I\u2019m excited to see where he can take it.\u201d<\/p>\n Lendeborg has already given Golden State fans something to be excited about.<\/p>\n He averaged 18 points, eight rebounds and four assists during Summer League while helping the Warriors win the Summer League championship. Before entering the NBA, he averaged 15.1 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists during his senior season at Michigan while shooting 51 percent from the field and 37 percent from three.<\/p>\n
