<a target=\"_self\" class=\"article-content-link text-brand-primary underline hover:text-brand-primary\/85 break-words overflow-wrap-anywhere underline-offset-[3px]\" data-afl-p=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/velo.outsideonline.com\/road\/road-racing\/benjamin-noval-junior-worlds-double-montreal\/\" rel=\"noopener\">to win the junior road worlds title Thursday<\/a> and a Spanish team car briefly did the same.<\/p>\n<p>A stunning spectator\u2019s video shows the lead sport director\u2019s car barreling downhill behind Noval at a high rate of speed late in the 134km race.<\/p>\n<p>The car hit a pedestrian crossing and the rear wheels briefly lifted off the road along a section lined with spectators.<\/p>\n<p>The car landed without losing control and there were no reported injuries, but the <a target=\"_self\" class=\"article-content-link text-brand-primary underline hover:text-brand-primary\/85 break-words overflow-wrap-anywhere underline-offset-[3px]\" data-afl-p=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/velo.outsideonline.com\/tag\/uci\" rel=\"noopener\">UCI<\/a> race jury was less than impressed.<\/p>\n<p>It fined Spanish national coach Eleuterio Anguita Hinojosas 1,000 Swiss francs and expelled him from the rest of the <a target=\"_self\" class=\"article-content-link text-brand-primary underline hover:text-brand-primary\/85 break-words overflow-wrap-anywhere underline-offset-[3px]\" data-afl-p=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/velo.outsideonline.com\/tag\/uci-road-world-championships\" rel=\"noopener\">2026 road world championships<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The UCI communiqu\u00e9:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Driver: ANGUITA HINOJOSAS Eleuterio \u2013 ESP \u2013 UCI ID 100 008 029 59<br \/>Person in charge of the vehicle: Fine of 1,000 CHF and exclusion from the entire World Championships in Montreal, Canada.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Anguita, a former pro and Spain\u2019s junior men\u2019s road coach, posted photos of himself celebrating Noval\u2019s victory on Instagram.<\/p>\n<p>He did not mention the incident, and the <a target=\"_blank\" class=\"article-content-link text-brand-primary underline hover:text-brand-primary\/85 break-words overflow-wrap-anywhere underline-offset-[3px]\" data-afl-p=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/rfec.com\/index.php\/es\/smartweb\/seccion\/seccion\/rfec\/home\" rel=\"noopener\">Spanish Cycling Federation<\/a> so far has not issued a public statement on the sanction.<\/p>\n<h2>Noval doubles up in Montr\u00e9al<\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1007068\" class=\"pom-image-wrap photo-alignnone\"><img alt=\"Noval incident came on a huge day for Spanish cycling.<\/p>\n<p>Noval attacked on the penultimate lap and soloed home to victory 42 seconds ahead of France\u2019s Simon Defrance.
