Rockets big man Steven Adams is always one for keeping it real and at Houston\u2019s media day he certainly didn\u2019t disappoint.<\/p>\n
The Rockets center warned there will be a decline in performance from players, coaches and scouts across the NBA and other professional sports like NFL \u2013 once the highly-anticipated \u2018Grand Theft Auto VI\u2019 game drops.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou guys should anticipate November,\u201d Adams told the NBA media on Tuesday. \u201cThe performance of the league, league-wide, GTA is dropping. So look at the NFL, look at all the leagues, and watch them plummet, mate. Just for the month of November, performance is gonna go down,\u201d he joked. \u201cIt should come back up, though. Most of the boys will get it done. Hopefully they finish the game\u2026 Coaching as well, by the way. The coaching and scouts are going to be horrendous, just for November, but it should bounce back in December, hopefully.\u201d<\/p>\n
GTA 6 will come out on on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, with preloads opening a week earlier on November 12, which will be roughly a month into the NBA regular season and will be around two-thirds of the way into the NFL season.<\/p>\n
Adams isn\u2019t the first professional sports player to speak about the most drawn out video game release of all-time.<\/p>\n
New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye told WEEI earlier this month he might wait until \u201ca break or bye week\u201d to start playing the game.<\/p>\n
Maye seemingly won\u2019t have to wait long since the\u00a0GTA VI <\/em>release is scheduled during the Patriots\u2019 upcoming Week 11 bye.<\/p>\n Adams wasn\u2019t done being his hilarious self and decided to also take the opportunity to throw a funny jab towards the Rockets\u2019 young core.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m pretty confident with our group,\u201d Adams says. \u201cWe got a lot of good veterans here. Young guys, they\u2019re a little bit older. Not sure if they\u2019re smarter, mate. I hate to tell it to you guys, mate.
