Some interesting trade buzz surrounding Suns star Devin Booker has emerged \u2013 involving a Western Conference rival.<\/p>\n
Booker is signed to a max contract extension with Phoenix that keeps him with the franchise through the 2029-30 season.<\/p>\n
However, Golden State would be very interested if he was to ever become available in trade talks, Tim Kawakami recently revealed.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think the Warriors like him too much if you ask me. But they love him. Steve [Kerr] loves him,\u201d he said on the Warriors Plus\/Minus podcast<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cBooker loved playing for Steve. \u2026 They [Golden State] love Devin Booker. \u2026 Listen he obviously loves Phoenix, he\u2019s signed long-term. They say they\u2019re never trading him \u2026 But if that plays out in a poor way, they\u2019ve traded every draft pick. How do they get draft picks back? How do they restart? I know the Warriors would be first in line saying, \u2018we got three first round picks we can give you, and what else do you want?’\u201d<\/p>\n Booker got to know Kerr and Steph Curry during Team USA\u2019s Olympics campaign in Paris in 2024 and clearly they all got along very well.<\/p>\n Unless ownership at the Suns changes, the star guard appears to be very much staying put, so long as Mat Ishbia is around.<\/p>\n \u201cDevin Booker is our franchise player,\u201d Ishbia said at his end of season press conference.<\/p>\n \u201cI love Devin Booker. That\u2019s what he\u2019s going to do, and we\u2019re going to build the right team around him.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cHe\u2019s going to get better, just like I\u2019m going to get better, just like everyone is going to get better in our organization.\u201d<\/p>\n In August, Ishbia had a hilarious response to a reporter asking him whether he\u2019d ever trade D-Book to the Pistons.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen I\u2019m dead.
