Photos by Danielle Alakija for British Athletics<\/strong><\/p>\n Budapest results<\/a><\/p>\n Brilliant in Budapest: Josh Kerr <\/strong>added another global crown to his stellar career with Ultimate World Champs 1500m victory in Hungary.<\/p>\n The Mile World Record holder was home in 3:29.35 after pulling clear of all his challengers on the last lap, with young\u00a0 Australian Cameron Myers<\/strong> duly taking second place.<\/p>\n Josh had been typically confident in advance and the only bizarre surprise of the whole evening was a predicted 13th place finish on TV screen captions. Only 12 men raced !<\/p>\n That coverage error mattered not one jot to Josh as he landed a $150,000 pay-day and completed what has been a truly remarkable calendar year.<\/p>\n The highlights reel will feature winning World Indoors gold over 3000m; his stunning World Record run in London in July; and, of course, that \u2018home win\u2019at Scotstoun in the Commonwealth Games Men\u2019s Mile when representing Team Scotland.<\/p>\n There is a very cogent argument now for promoting the Scotsman as World Athletics Male Athlete of the Year. Watch this space!<\/em><\/p>\n Jake Wightman<\/strong>, after sixth place finishes in the Commonwealth Games and the European Champs, rounded off his season in Budapest, too.
