The Green &amp; White shot 2-5 from three-point range while shooting 5-13 from the field.<\/p>\n<p>The Seahawks outscored the Red Storm 15-14 in the second quarter behind 3-7 shooting from beyond the arc. Graduate student <dfn><a href=\"https:\/\/wagnerathletics.com\/sports\/womens-basketball\/roster\/zhaneia-thybulle\/13980\" rel=\"smarttag noopener\" rev=\"13980\" target=\"_blank\">Zhaneia Thybulle<\/a><\/dfn> and freshman Angelie Ricard each led the way with five points each in the frame.<\/p>\n<p>The Seahawks entered the second half down 37-27 while shooting 41.7% from deep in the opening 20 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>In the third quarter, St. John&#8217;s outscored Wagner 21-17 as the Seahawks continued to shoot well as they shot 5-11 from the field.<\/p>\n<p>The Red Storm put a stamp on the contest in the final quarter as they held Wagner to seven points while scoring 21 of their own.<\/p>\n<p>Sophomore <dfn><a href=\"https:\/\/wagnerathletics.com\/sports\/womens-basketball\/roster\/lina-loceniece\/13977\" rel=\"smarttag noopener\" rev=\"13977\" target=\"_blank\">Lina Loceniece<\/a><\/dfn> led the offensive attack for Wagner with 13 points on 5-7 shooting and three three-pointers made.<\/p>\n<p><dfn><a href=\"https:\/\/wagnerathletics.com\/sports\/womens-basketball\/roster\/zhaneia-thybulle\/13980\" rel=\"smarttag noopener\" rev=\"13980\" target=\"_blank\">Zhaneia Thybulle<\/a><\/dfn> also scored in double figures as the reigning Northeast Conference (NEC) Player of the Week tallied 10 points, four rebounds and three assists.<\/p>\n<p>The loss brings Wagner to 5-6 heading into NEC play.<\/p>\n<p>Wagner will open NEC play at Saint Francis U on January 2 with tip-off scheduled for 7:00 pm.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n.<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wagnerathletics.com\/news\/2022\/12\/21\/womens-basketball-womens-basketball-falls-at-25-st-john-s.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#13; &#13; &#13; Next Game: at Saint Francis 1\/2\/2023 | 7:00 PM &#13; Jan. 02 (Mon) \/ 7:00 PM&#13; &#13; at\u00a0Saint Francis&#13; History &#13; Queens, NY \u2013 The Wagner College women&#8217;s basketball fell to #25 St. John&#8217;s 81-50 to wrap up the team&#8217;s non-conference slate.
