line.<\/p>\n<p>Liam Slock of <a target=\"_self\" class=\"text-brand-primary underline hover:text-brand-primary\/85 break-words overflow-wrap-anywhere underline-offset-[3px]\" data-afl-p=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/velo.outsideonline.com\/tag\/lotto-intermarche\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Lotto Intermarch\u00e9<\/a> just showed everyone how.<\/p>\n<p>The 25-year-old Belgian rider claimed the first professional win Sunday at Switzerland\u2019s GP Gippingen in the wackiest way imaginable.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s one thing to celebrate too early and lose a race.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s quite another to celebrate too early, crash, and <em>still win<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Slock looked safely on his way to victory after attacking <a target=\"_self\" class=\"text-brand-primary underline hover:text-brand-primary\/85 break-words overflow-wrap-anywhere underline-offset-[3px]\" data-afl-p=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/velo.outsideonline.com\/tag\/aleksandr-vlasov\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Aleksandr Vlasov<\/a> and <a target=\"_self\" class=\"text-brand-primary underline hover:text-brand-primary\/85 break-words overflow-wrap-anywhere underline-offset-[3px]\" data-afl-p=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/velo.outsideonline.com\/tag\/richard-carapaz\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Richard Carapaz<\/a> with 200 meters to go in the one-day Swiss race.<\/p>\n<p>With the finish line in sight, Slock sat up and began celebrating what appeared to be an overdue win after years of near misses and top 10s.<\/p>\n<p>Apparently, he was a little out of practice.<\/p>\n<p>With both arms raised, Slock glanced back, lost balance crossed his front wheel, and slammed into the pavement.<\/p>\n<p>His momentum carried him and his bike across the finish line.
