Skip Bayless delivered strong criticism of LeBron James while discussing the Lakers star\u2019s late-game performances and shooting consistency.<\/p>\n
Bayless questioned James\u2019 mental toughness in high-pressure situations and argued that, despite his talent and accomplishments, he has never viewed LeBron as a consistently clutch player.<\/p>\n
\u201cLeBron James, to me, has proven over many, many years to be the most mentally fragile superstar I have ever closely observed,\u201d Bayless said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI mean, the poor man, as gifted as he is, was born without a clutch gene.\u201d<\/p>\n
Bayless also criticized James\u2019 shooting numbers, particularly from the free-throw line and beyond the arc, saying those weaknesses become more noticeable in crucial moments.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo he\u2019s lucky to be in the top 10 because he\u2019s a liability and always has been at the late-game free-throw line,\u201d Bayless said.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou can just look it up. By superstar standards, he is a poor free-throw shooter for his career at 74%, and an even poorer three-point shooter at 35% for his career.\u201d<\/p>\n
