The Lakers opened their second-round series with a 108-90 loss against the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 1, continuing to feel the absence of one of the league\u2019s most productive players.<\/p>\n
The Slovenian star averaged 34 points, 9 assists and 8 rebounds this season before suffering the injury.<\/p>\n
LeBron James acknowledged how difficult it is to replace a player with Doncic\u2019s production and impact.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen you play against the world champions and miss having a guy that averages 34 and eight and nine and is that special, that\u2019s a major piece missing,\u201d James said.<\/p>\n
Although frustrated by his inability to help on the court, Doncic praised his teammates for continuing to compete despite the circumstances.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s very frustrating seeing what my team is doing,\u201d Doncic said. \u201cI\u2019m very proud of them. It\u2019s been very tough to just sit and watch them play.\u201d<\/p>\n
