Not everyone wants to part with their money for a belt-driven gravel bike with clearance for 27.5\u2033 x 1.9\u2033 tires, a rim brake equipped steel track bike, or a gravel bike with a 32\u2033 front wheel and a 27.5\u2033 rear, but there are enough pure frothers out there to make these pursuits worthwhile.<\/p>\n<p>These are the ones that caught the attention of Pinkbike\u2019s tech editor \u2013 me. He has spent the last 9 months in CAD and experimenting with the technique Selective Laser Melting, learning how different tube shapes and wall thicknesses impact strength and ride quality \u2014 particularly at the chainstays.
