By the end of the day, it was only Zukowsky who would make it to the velodrome, finishing 137th.

Boivin’s day ended after a nasty crash on the Trouée d’Arenberg. You migh have even caught it on the Flobikes.com broadcast. It was clear he went down pretty hard and was grabbing his shoulder. On Monday, his team posted an update:

“Unfortunately, the chaos of the cobbles saw Guillaume Boivin crash heavily on the Arenberg with x-rays confirming a fractured left scapular which, fortunately, will not require surgery,” it read. “Biniam Girmay also crashed later in the race, forcing him to abandon, but escaped without any fractures, only sustaining some contusions.”

So it’s good news that the Montreal native’s crash wasn’t too bad. Back in 2021, Boivin had a fantastic ride at Roubaix, finishing 9th. That was the year, due to COVID-19 and all the screwy stuff that happened to sports, it took place in October.

Back in October of 2025, amid the Derek Gee transfer saga with the team then known as Israel-Premier Tech, Boivin resigned with the ProTeam–which is now WorldTour and known as NSN Cycling.

“I’m very happy and grateful to be staying with the team for another year,” Boivin said. “Next year will be my 11th with the team. And even though I’ve been doing this for a while now, I’m excited about the challenges ahead. The UCI road world championships in my hometown of Montreal will be a major highlight.”

NSN’s general manager, Kjell Carlström said that, “Boivin is one of the originals. He joined us early on in 2016. He is an important member of our sprint train. He plays a vital role in positioning and protecting our sprinters. He is an asset to the team, and someone who has also proven himself in the classics.”

Source link

Three Canadians started the pro men’s race at Sunday’s Paris-Roubaix, but only one made it to the velodrome.
