Koch beat Marianne Vos in a two-up sprint after last year\u2019s victor Pauline Ferrand-Pr\u00e9vot led them into the famous Roubaix Velodrome.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Preliminaries<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Winning the 2025 Paris-Roubaix was Ferrand-Pr\u00e9vot\u2019s first big result in a remarkable comeback season.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_139195\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-139195\" style=\"width: 1305px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/cyclingmagazine.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/25TDFFFerrand-PrevotYellow.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-139195\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The French rider would later win the Tour de France.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The 2023 champ, Alison Jackson, fifth last year, headed up the <strong>Canadian contingent<\/strong>. Maggie Coles-Lyster was back, along with EF Education-Oatly\u2019s Alex Volstad and Jenaya Francis racing her first Hell of the North.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Course<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The women\u2019s race included 20 sectors of pav\u00e9 in 142.9 km, the first arriving at the 29.3-km mark. Although the five-star Trou\u00e9e d\u2019Arenberg wasn\u2019t included, two other five-stars, 3-km Mons-en-P\u00e9v\u00e8le (kilometre 94.5) and 2.1-km Carrefour de l\u2019Arbre (kilometre 126), would challenge the field. Lucinda Brand tried to sew up the tear but the quartet\u2019s gap increased over the next four sectors. On <strong>*** Bourghelles \u00e0 Wannehain<\/strong> Koch accelerated and took Vos with her. With 4 km to go the German dropped the French rider, but Ferrand-Pr\u00e9vot made it back with 1.8 km remaining and then led into the velodrome. Koch went high.
