With the optional pins provided, I decided to add one outboard pin on the leading edge of each side of the pedals. Grip is just where I like it if I’m wearing shoes with an appropriately sticky shoe. In this case, this means rubber that is a little less sticky than what I find ideal for 3mm pins, like those found on Crankbrothers Stamp pedals. Ironically, for these smaller diameter pin heads, I prefer Crankbrothers Stamp shoes, which have a little less grip than either Specialized 2FO or Fox Unions.
