Visma-Lease A Bike’s women’s program will be without one of its most veteran riders at Tour of Flanders on Sunday. Marianne Vos is off the team’s roster following the death of her father.
“Marianne Vos will not start in Tour of Flanders as she is staying with her family following the passing of her father last week,” the team said in an announcement. “We wish Marianne and her loved ones all the strength and support they need during this difficult time.”
Vos’s spring racing schedule has already been altered significantly during her father’s illness. We are sad to learn of her father’s passing.
