Strathclyde Park will once again take centre stage on Sunday as 500 athletes gather to chase coveted medals at the Lindsays Scottish 10‑Mile Championships.
The championships take place within the Tom Scott Memorial Road Races, with the event be celebrating its 62nd year of racing since its establishment in 1962.
Under the stewardship of Law and District AAC, the event reliably draws competitive fields, dedicated supporters, and a vibrant atmosphere.
The competition places were sold out in just four days, another new record, underscoring the event’s distinguished heritage and enduring reputation.
Entry names this year suggest that the battles for gold may produce a notably swift race. Competitors, among them former Olympians, are journeying from all corners of the country to take on Strathclyde Park once again.
Are the course records under threat again this year?

‘The Tom Scott Memorial Trophy carries more than six decades of Scottish road‑racing heritage, and it will be fascinating to see whose name is etched into that history this year.
‘Our thanks go to our volunteers and to our sponsors — Hydracrat, Tunnock’s and Co‑Op Funeralcare Airdrie — whose backing makes this event possible year after year.’
