Webber Named to CSC Academic All-District List – University of Illinois Athletics

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Fighting Illini junior Maddie Webber earned Academic All-District distinction from College Sports Communicators, the association announced on Tuesday.

Webber earned her second award of the sort as the Bridgeville, Pa., native was also recognized with All-District honors during her sophomore campaign at Villanova. Webber is studying communication at Illinois.

To be eligible for the accolade, nominees must have a 3.50 GPA and be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. Nominees must also be a starter or important reserve to the team and participate in at least 90% of the team’s games or started 66% of contests.

Webber played in all 34 games with one start for the Fighting Illini. She averaged 10.8 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 0.6 steals, and 0.3 blocks across 25.5 minutes of action per game. The junior shot a 45.4% field goal rate and 39.7% from 3-point range, both career bests. Webber also connected on 30-for-39 free throws for a 76.9% efficiency. 

An instant spark for Illinois off the bench, Webber was one of four Power Four players across Division I averaging 10.8+ points per game that started one or fewer games during the 2025-26 season (as of 3/24/26). She finished the season with 19 games scoring in double figures including two 20-point efforts.

Illinois finished the 2025-26 season with a 22-12 record after winning games in both the Big Ten Tournament and NCAA Tournament in the same season for the first time since 1999-2000.
