GB international Chris Richardson will race for Scotland in Ireland this weekend over 100k

A Scotland team is heading to Limerick, in Ireland, this weekend, for the annual 100km Anglo Celtic Plate Home Countries International.
The event has the added incentive of incorporating the 2026 British and Scottish 100km Championships and will also serve as a key selection event for the IAU World 100km Championships, which are being held in Spain in September.
Runners will run 51 laps of a 1.9km loop around the sports grounds of Limerick University.
Unfortunately, our Scotland team has suffered some withdrawals but there will still be strong representation.
Chris Richardson leads the men. The Metro Aberdeen athlete, and GB international, is a previous winner of the event. Chris won the last time it was held in Ireland in 2021 and placed 4th in Perth, in 2024, where he ran his PB of 6:40:44.
He is backed up by Adam Gray (Penicuik), and Davie Shaw (unattached), both of whom are winning their second Scotland vests. Kyle Wilson (Greenock Glenpark Harriers) wins his first vest after some excellent results on the trails.

The women’s team is led by Jacqui Wilson (unattached), the 2024 Scottish champion, who is winning her third Scotland vest.
Jacqui is backed up by the silver medalists from last year, Chloe Sangster (Metro Aberdeen), who is winning her first Scotland vest, and 2024 bronze medallist Dannielle Callaghan (Falkirk Victoria).
Joining them and also winning her first vest is Alice Baird, who will be running her first 100km after some good performances on the trails.
Nicola MacDonald of Metro Aberdeen is a late withdrawal due to illness.
The race starts at 8 am on Saturday morning. There should be a live tracking link, which will be shared on social channels.
