This Week In Wagner Athletics; Five Sports In Action As Men’s Basketball Hosts Nationally Televised Game On CBSSN – Wagner College Athletics

Staten Island, NYHere is a look at the Wagner Athletics events for this week.

Men’s Basketball

-The Seahawks, winners of three straight, will take on St. Francis Brooklyn in a nationally televised game against St. Francis Brooklyn on Thursday at 5:00 pm on CBS Sports Network.

Rob Taylor II earned NEC Player of the Week honors.

Women’s Basketball
-The Seahawks will take its six-game winning streak and 6-0 NEC record to St. Francis Brooklyn on Thursday.
-Fifth year senior Kem Nwabudu earned NEC Player of the Week honors.
-Along with earning Player of the Week, Nwabudu was named Prime Performer with Zhaneia Thybulle and Drayah Heyward.

Women’s Water Polo
-The Seahawks will take part in the Princeton Winter Invite this weekend.
-Wagner will take on UC San Diego, UC Santa Barbara, Princeton and Bucknell.
 

Bowling
-The Seahawks will travel to Loretto, PA to take part in the Red Flash Invitational.
-In its last outing, Wagner earned six victories at the Northeast Classic Tournament including victories over #1 McKendree and #17 Tulane.

Track & Field

-Wagner will compete at the John Thomas Invite in Boston, MA from on Friday, January 27 and Saturday, January 28.

-At its last meet, Wagner competed at the NYC Gotham Cup and finished in the top-five in numerous events.

Julio Martinez and Laura Trenado earned NEC Rookie of the Week honors after their strong performances.
