This weekend the World Cup mountain bike racing scene will descend upon Soldier Hollow, Utah for XCC and XCO. What usually comes with the World Cup are pits filled with prototypes and various pre-production components and bikes. While we have seen several prototype 32-inch bikes over the last year or so, Trek have somewhat announced their 32-inch XC race bike in what appears to be a full production version on their Instagram.

Bikerumor originally spotted the prototype version of this bike in a documentary released by Trek earlier this Summer but now we have what looks like a Rockshox 32-inch specific fork and Project One paint.

I’ve been in touch with a couple other frame and wheel companies this Summer in regards to 32-inch wheels and the cross-country race segment seems completely sold on the concept. I’m hoping to have at least a 32-inch gravel bike to test soon to see what the big wheels are all about.
