Ananda has announced a technical collaboration with Shimano, integrating its eDrive platform with Shimano’s Di2 electronic shifting technology.
Enabled through advanced CAN bus communication, the new connectivity delivers interaction between the Ananda drive system and Shimano’s electronic drivetrain components. The technical integration will debut on Ananda’s new M7000 mid-motor platform in combination with Shimano’s Cues product family, with further development expected to explore compatibility across additional product lines.
Ananda added that the collaboration also opens up future opportunities for enhanced drivetrain functionality, particularly for eMTB applications where smooth gear management and system coordination can further improve the riding experience.
“The M7000 platform was developed to deliver a premium riding experience through performance, connectivity and deep system integration,” said an Ananda Product Engineer. “By enabling compatibility with Shimano’s Di2 electronic shifting technologies, we are expanding the possibilities available to OEM partners and providing riders with a smarter, more integrated e-bike experience.”
The partnership is expected to support further innovation in eBike drivetrain integration as both companies explore additional opportunities for system-level functionality and performance enhancements.
