Kevin Durant’s debut year with the Houston Rockets fell short of expectations, as injuries and inconsistency defined much of the campaign.
After being acquired from the Phoenix Suns, Durant dealt with a knee issue and later a sprained ankle that limited his availability, especially in the playoffs.
Houston was eliminated by the Los Angeles Lakers in six games, with Durant appearing in only a portion of the series.
Even with those setbacks, Durant remained productive when healthy, averaging elite numbers and continuing to perform at a high level.
However, questions now surround his long-term fit with the team less than a year into his tenure.
Durant has played 18 seasons for 5 teams, including the Thunder and Suns. He has averaged 27.1 points, 6.9 rebounds and 4.4 assists in 1,201 regular-season games.
He was selected to play in 15 All-Star games. He has won the Rookie of the Year award, 1 MVP award, 2 Finals MVP awards and 2 NBA championships.
